bds reset detail (Bds Reset)

BDS Reset (NET Software)

BDS Reset repairs one specific passage's protection, restoring it back
to its original, active state -- whether that protection had been
disabled or destroyed. BDS Reset itself never moves you.

While you are connected to a NET host, target the specific passage:

    run BDS Reset <direction>

You can also run it by its local file number.

BDS Reset does not attack or hack anything -- it never rolls against
the protection at all. It only works if you are authorized to perform
repairs on that specific passage, and it will refuse you outright if
you are not. Ordinary passage authorization is not the same as repair
authorization -- being cleared to walk through a passage does not by
itself mean you are cleared to repair its protection.

If there is nothing broken to fix, or repair is not something that
passage supports at all, BDS Reset will tell you so and nothing will
happen.

BDS Reset needs 1 unit of free RAM while it runs and releases it when
the attempt finishes. The stored copy stays on your deck and can be
run again.
