NET Manual Search

While immersed in the NET, use:

    search

This deliberately examines the area occupied by your NET avatar. It does
not search the physical room containing your meatspace body.

A NET search takes three seconds and uses your canonical Investigation
ability. Some directed routes may be authored as hidden until discovered.

A successful discovery belongs to your runner for the current NET session.
Another runner does not automatically learn the route.

Once discovered, a directed route appears in normal NET room presentation,
for example:

    You can go down.

Discovery only tells you that the route exists. It does not bypass login
requirements, access levels, ICE, HICE, or other boundary security.

This manual search command is separate from Search-family cyberdeck
software. Software discovery and manual Investigation are different tools.

Builder authoring

Builder-owned host boundaries can require manual discovery:

    @nethost/hidden <network>/<host> <boundary_id> = <difficulty> | <message>

Example:

    @nethost/hidden test_net/corp_host pay_to_free = 18 | A hidden route resolves downward.

Remove the discovery requirement with:

    @nethost/hidden test_net/corp_host pay_to_free = off

The boundary must already have a player-facing direction. Directed reverse
boundaries are independent: hiding A -> B never hides B -> A automatically.
